Welcome to our Autumn Catalogue #272 March 2024. Apologies for the paucity of categories in this one but the truth is we’ve been working like galley slaves on our book ’TWO RANKS ON THE ROAD 35 Years of Australian Special Forces Service’ which is to be launched on Sunday 21 Apr 24 at Boffins Books at 88 William Street Perth. It will be launched by Dr Grant (Wally) Walsh with whom I served in SASR. There will be limited space at Boffins I’m afraid and bookings are essential. There will be a small entry fee to contribute towards the food and drink supplied. Those attending the launch can get a signed copy there (and pay Boffins). Other orders can be made through PAYPAL through the website. All interstate orders will be posted soon after the launch. This book has kept a few of us very occupied for a long time especially our amazing son Dr Toby Malone, in Canada, who has dissected this book forensically, building the most formidable index since Tolstoy!! This catalogue may be an ‘Autumn’ list but it’s still very hot here in Perth with no sign of rain whilst the eastern states are afflicted with floods, cyclones and bush fires. We live in hope for a cold and wet winter. This weekend many of us were transfixed in front of the TV, firstly watching the Kiwis get flogged in the first Test in Wellington inside 4 days. And then came the Rugby League double-header from Las Vegas. Two great games which should capture the Yanks attention for years to come. As usual this list is dedicated to a lot of old mates who have gone to their reward and those still living but doing it tough. We’re here for you cobbers. Via con dios Mick & Jo |
